Lauren comes to Advantage College Planning with extensive experience working with students and families. She graduated with a BA from Boston College in English and a MS in Family Studies and Counseling from the University of New Hampshire. She has worked in private secondary schools in Maine and New Hampshire as an admissions officer, advancement professional, English teacher, dormitory parent, academic advisor, and directed an Academy winter semester program for elite student-athletes. Most recently, Lauren was a member of the admissions team, reading applications for Bates College. As a parent of 3 girls, 2 of whom have been through the college admissions process, Lauren knows first-hand how daunting the experience can be for parents and knows the value of working with a trusted college planning professional to help find the right fit for each student.

Lauren values relationship-building in her work with students. She focuses her work on the importance of understanding each student’s unique and dynamic story to help them craft thoughtful college lists and strong applications that reflect their authentic selves and position them to achieve their educational goals and dreams.

Lauren lives in Freeport with her husband who is a Division 1 collegiate coach and their youngest daughter. During her free time, Lauren spends as much time as she can on or near the ocean or cheering on her daughter and teammates on the sidelines of soccer and lacrosse fields. She enjoys reading contemporary fiction, baking, and watching a good movie or television series.
